“our passion is caring for your retired horses as if they were our own children”

We are a husband and wife team of two (unless of course you include the help of our dog and cats and they are a big part of our ranch)! We genuinely care about the well-being of every retired horse on our property. We are on the ranch 24/7 with a view of the horses from every room of our home. If a horse’s behavior changes ever so slightly, it is one of us who will recognize it almost immediately, not an employee who may miss something.

Texas’ Premier Horse Retirement Farm

Scotti

Scotti is the care taker. When she left the corporate world, horses became her life. She has been caring for her own and others horses for 20 years. Initially it was caring for broodmares that needed more pasture space, then those same mares would return with their foals to mature to weanlings and sometimes beyond. Then, it progressed to the geriatric horses of friends whom needed more time then the owners could provide with their careers. These “old guys” have great stories to tell and have a very special place in her heart. She loves sharing her time with them so they to can feel the comfort of home here at the ranch. She has also volunteered the last 15 years to a local low cost spay neuter clinic as a surgical tech. When not caring for her retirees she is learning the art of Dressage on her horse named Total Eclipse, aka Total E.

Steve

Steve is a retired Corporate Executive.  He is now the muscle of the ranch.  He keeps the fence lines clean and the pastures at their optimum nutritional level.  He makes runs to the feed store, keeps all the big equipment running, pays the bills.  The important behind the scene stuff.
